The main character of the film is the 18-year old Veronika who dreams of being a singer.
Veronika comes to the capital to enter a music school. Her mother, her best friend Larisa and Kostia who has been in love with her since their school years, stay in her native town. On the way to the capital the girl meets Vadim who soon proposes to her.
However, after the wedding it becomes clear that Vadim has used her. Veronika leaves him before she finds out that she is pregnant.
She returns to her native town and gives birth to a girl, but two year later she goes to the capital again to continue her studies and complete the divorce…
