Marina receives an invitation from her father to visit him on his birthday eight years after their last meeting. If it had not been for her brother Fedia’s call with the request to help and find out who threatened their father, Marina would have never agreed to come because of a longtime grudge against her family.
The reunion with the relatives gets very uneasy for Marina – her sister Olia still envies her and is jealous of her husband Pasha. Pasha is excited with the visit of his ex. Marina utterly suspects the father’s new wife of being involved in her mother’s death. Despite of the apparent truce in the family, the family skeletons come to light at the festive board, and a new quarrel arises. After the ruined party Marina decides to leave the native home forever. However, Fedia’s call makes her return half-way – the father was found murdered at the berth.
