A prosperous, handsome, young Ilia sells his house and an established business in Europe to return to a poor post-soviet industrial town where he had been left by his mother in maternity hospital 27 years ago. Ironically, it is in this very town that Ilia lost his foster parents as an adolescent. He had been cherishing the schemes of revenge for 15 years, because his mother and father were killed right before his eyes.
Ilia returns to his native town equipped with fake documents, a case stuffed with money and a friend-lawyer. Taking advantage of problems at the factory managed by his main enemy and in parallel his biological father Viktor Sobolev, the young man infiltrates the management under the guise of an investor. There he meets his half-brother Bogdan and finds out that they are twins; however, Ilia was left because of a developmental pathology, and Bogdan lived with the family.
They immediately disliked each other - the “investor of passage” deprives Bogdan of the position and even occupies his office. The conflict jeopardizes when Bogdan finds out that his fiancée, the mayor’s daughter Dina, has fallen in love with Ilia. The problem is that Ilia’s feelings to the refined conservatoire student are also sincere despite the fact that her father is the Sobolevs’ accomplice. What will Ilia choose – the revenge or love? Will the two brothers be able to understand and forgive each other? Which secret will Ilia discover prior to make the most important choice of his life?
