When she identifies herself as a crime journalist, nobody knows that it sounds rather ambiguously. She is a famous journalist indeed, she investigates the cases of murder and disappearances of people. However, her past is fraught of a horrible crime, and she thinks she is the only one to know about it.

Galina, about thirty-five, and her daughter Dasha, a first-year student of the faculty of journalism, comes to her native town after long years of absence. She gets a job at one of the central newspapers where she runs the crimes news column. Again and again, Galina gets involved in investigations of disappearance and homicides. Behind each of these cases there are human dramas, somebody’s broken destinies. And each of these investigations is a duel with a murderer she comes out of a victor due to her experience, knowledge and intuition.

However, from the first day in her native town Galina becomes an object of focus of a stranger following every her step.  Ominous messages, telephone calls to Galina hint at some event far back in her past.

Only in the last series we will discover the mystery kept by the lead character for almost twenty years…
