This is the story of a young married woman Veronika. Nika is an officer of some investigative committee. The work is not quite suitable for women but she is highly appreciated and has good prospect for career advancement. Nika’s personal life is also well established – she is adored by her husband Kostia, they are a close-knit loving family, to the envy of all. Nika is a skillful housewife, she never forgets to take care of a real home comfort. However, her life was perfect until one tragic day. On their wedding anniversary Nika receives the horrible news: her husband Kostia is killed. Moreover, next to his body there was the body of a young girl Lera, the wife of a famous crime kingpin. Why is the husband killed on such family holiday? Nika does not believe that Kostia had an affair with Lera. So, what did they have in common than?
